The École des Petits Champions in Pawa is an important educational project in the province of Haut-Uele. It currently has 800 pupils enrolled and aims to give children access to education in this region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Objectives

In 2025, ETM is continuing its support for the École des Petits Champions as part of its work in the DRC. The annual report presents Pawa as one of ETM’s projects combining access to education and health.

Outlook for 2026

In 2026, a new collaboration is planned with the NGO Memisa, which supports the hospital next to the school. This collaboration should make it possible to broaden the work carried out in Pawa by creating a synergy between education and health.

Two areas of work are planned: training midwives, in order to strengthen local medical skills, and reproductive health education within the school, so that young people can access reliable information about their development.
