Direct beneficiaries
Each year, 160 children aged 3 to 7, in nursery and the first 2 years of primary school. An inclusive school that takes account of each child’s individuality and special educational needs (including welcoming children on the autism spectrum). More than 50,000 children over 50 years.
To provide basic education at early childhood and primary school stages: introducing every child to health, family and social life, the environment, culture, languages, work, leisure, science and technology.
Objectives
Gradual introduction to numeracy and reading, psychomotor development, team and cooperative games, dance, singing, events linked to the calendar (seasons, civic and religious festivals…), the culture of north-east Brazil, forms of expression, social life, waste management…
Activities
- Access to education for disadvantaged children
- 64 children who have learnt to read and write are continuing their schooling in primary school.
- Inclusion of 4 children on the autism spectrum
- Support for 1 child with cancer.
